Chief of Defense of the Armed Forces, Major General, Assoc. Prof. Bajram Begaj hosted in a meeting the Military Attachés of the United States of America

Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Major General, Assoc. Prof. Bajram Begaj hosted in a meeting the Military Attaché of the United States of America, Captain James Hilton, within the framework mandate termination Military Attaché accredited in Tirana. 

 

Major General Assoc. Prof.  Begaj praised the excellent bilateral military cooperation between the countries in the field of Security and Defense; cooperation recently concretized with the Defender Europe 21 exercises in which Albania is a host country. 

During the meeting, the new US Military Attaché, Commander David H. Millner, was introduced. Major General Assoc. Prof. Begaj welcomed the new attaché and assured him of the Albanian hospitality and support for the continuation of military cooperation projects between the armies of the two countries.

Commander David H. Millner graduated as a Marine Intelligence Officer in 2002 and has served outside the United States, including Afghanistan, Japan, Italy, and Chile. He is also a good connoisseur of the Albanian language.

At the end of the meeting, a short ceremony was held with the presence of the top military leaders of the Armed Forces. During this ceremony, the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Major General Prof. Assoc. Bajram Begaj, awarded the Captain (NAVY) James Hilton the "Certificate of Appreciation", with the motivation: "On the outstanding contribution given for the increase of the military cooperation between the US Armed Forces and the Armed Forces of the Republic of Albania”.
