Technical protocol signed between the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Albania and the Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of Turkey. for the donation of 30 Light Infantry weapons

The technical protocol for the donation of 30 light infantry weapons type MPT-55 and MPT-76, NATO standard, was signed this morning in the premises of the General Staff. The protocol was signed by the Military Attaché of the Republic of Turkey in Tirana, Colonel Şakir Cumhur Somer and the Director of the Directorate of Operations and Training, Colonel Leonard Çoku. 

The weapons will be used by the Land Forces and are a gift in the framework of the assistance that the Turkish side provides continuously to our Armed Forces, where the equipment for Civil Emergencies stands out. MPT-55 and MPT-76 rifles, 5.56mm and 7.62mm caliber are the latest technology of light infantry armament, of high precision, capable of withstanding all extreme hot and cold weather conditions, and are mainly used by Special Forces. These weapons further increase the combat and reactive capabilities of the Land Force, making them equal to the Allies.
