CHOD, Major General Xhemal Gjunkshi , participated the certification ceremony of NCO-s who finished the training courses in Land Force Command (LFC) within the framework of bilateral cooperation with the U.S. A (New Jersey National Guard). The ceremony was also attended by Land Force Commander, General Zyber Dushku, chief of ODC, representatives of the New Jersey National Guard, and directors of directorates in the Armed Forces General Staff.
The aim of courses "Warrior Leader for NCO-s" and "Battle Staff", was training and preparation to increase the theoretical and practical knowledge, deepening of knowledge in military decision-making process in defense and offensive operations, as very important elements in planning and mission accomplishment.

Today, Minister of Defense, Mrs. Mimi Kodheli and CHOD, Major General Xhemal Gjunkshi, paid a visit to the Land Force Command.
General Zyber Dushku, and heads of branches in Land Force Staff received the highest officials of the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff of the Armed Forces. Through a detailed presentation, Chief of Staff of the Land Forces, Colonel Adi Ndoni informed the participants about the mission and tasks performed accomplished by the largest structure of the Armed Forces, about their achievements and successes, as well as about the problems and issues to be resolved.

CHOD, Major General Xhemal Gjunkshi received today, with a special ceremony, the new Minister of Defense, Mrs. Mimi Kodheli.
Present at this ceremony were also Deputy Chief of GS, Major General Viktor Berdo and Brigadier General Piro Ahmetaj, force commanders, directors of departments in the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff of the Armed Forces and military attaches accredited in our country.

CHOD, Major General Xhemal Gjunkshi set off today to Hungary to attend the meeting of the NATO Military Committee, to be held in Budapest, Hungary, on 13-15 September 2013, on the invitation of Chief of Defense of Hungary, General PhD Tibor Benkő.
The meeting will be chaired by General Knud Bartels, Chairman of the NATO Military Committee. This meeting will be attended by 28 top leaders of the Armed Forces of NATO countries, as well as the commanders of two Supreme Commands, General Philip Breedlove, the Supreme Allied Commander in Europe Command and General Jean-Paul Paloméros, commander of Allied Command Transformation.

Under the direction of CHOD, Major General Xhemal Gjunkshi, analysis of the exercise "Joint Reaction 2013" conducted in our country from 2 to 7 June, 2013 within the Adriatic Charter initiative ( A - 5 ), took place. Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Major General Victor Berdo, commanders of the main and supporting units, directors of departments in GS, etc. were also present in this analysis.
Representatives of the Directorate of Operations and Training in GS briefed the participants about the unique elements of the exercise “Joint Reaction 2013" preceding the planning meetings, lessons learned and recommendations for the future.

CHOD, Major General Xhemal Gjunkshi received the Ukrainian military attaché in our country, Colonel Vladymyr Konyk, in a special meeting.
General Gjunkshi praised the contribution of colonel Konyk in strengthening the cooperation between the two countries in the field of defense. On his part Colonel Konyk thanked CHOD, General Xhemal Gjunkshi for his support in carrying out his duty as a military attaché in Albania.
Both interlocutors expressed their confidence that the cooperating relations between the Armed Forces of Albania and Ukraine will recognize positive developments and will continue to intensify.
