Minister Kodheli and Major General Bazo in the ceremony of the 50th anniversary of the Central Archives and the Museum of the Armed Forces

Defense Minister Mrs Mimi Kodheli, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Major General Jeronim Bazo and Deputy Minister of Defence Mr. Dritan Hila today took part in the ceremony of 50th anniversary of the Central Archives and the Museum of the Armed Forces.

Central Archive and Museum of the Armed Forces is the central institution, which is responsible for maintaining and managing the national archival fund created during the operation of Ministry of Defence structure, as well as identifies, collects and makes use of educational values of the military heritage Armed Forces to the stakeholders.

Ceremony of the 50th anniversary of the Central Archives and the Museum of the Armed Forces was greeted by the Minister of Defense Mrs. Mimi Kodheli. "This archive is the memory of the Armed Forces, memory is history and in order not to distort history, it must be preserved. I ask from you more commitment, ideas, than the current routines of the years so far. Bring ideas, projects, we need efficient thoughts, propose how would you keep Central Archives of AF updated. It should not be seen as a peaceful oasis for retiring, but it must serve to the public and should exalt research”, - said among others Minister Kodheli in her greeting.

Minister of Defense Mrs Mimi Kodheli and Chief of General Staff Major General Jeronim Bazo planted olive trees near the new archive building in the end of the ceremony.
