On 08/13/2013 at 13:20 local time, the Joint Operations Center was notified by the Air Force military coordinator at the National Air Traffic Agency, Rinas, of receiving a distress a signal from an aircraft in the region of Tërpani, Berat.
The Joint Operations Center confirms that in the area of Tërpani, Berat, an AB-412 helicopter from the Italian transport company "Green Air", which operates in the country from 20 March 2013 to 31 December 2013 with a regular clearance, crashed from a low height. A member of the crew was injured as a result of the crash.
By order of the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Major General Xhemal Gjunkshi, full support was given to the injured person and a helicopter, MEDEVAC version, was made available. The emergency of the trauma hospital was put at full disposal for the reception of the inured.
