Brigadier General Kollçaku on the 99th Anniversary of Sapper Battalion foundation

The Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Brigadier General Bardhyl Kollçaku, on the occasion of the 99th Anniversary of the Establishment of Sapper Corps awarded the Sapper Battalion the medal "For Participation in Civil Emergency Operations".

The ceremony organized on this occasion was attended by the Commander of Support Command, Brigadier General Ndriçim Sallaku, Land Force Commander, Brigadier General Albert Mullai, Directors of the MoD and GS, as well as former sappers who served in the corps over the years.


Brigadier General Kollçaku attended the 182nd Meeting of the NATO Military Committee, in Brussels, Belgium

The Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, Brigadier General Bardhyl Kollcaku, attended the 182nd Meeting of the NATO Military Committee at the NATO Headquarters in Brussels on 14-15 January 2020.

The hearings were chaired by Air Chief Marshal Sir Stuart Peach, Chairman of the Military Committee, with the support of the Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR) General Tod Wolters and Supreme Allied Commander Transformation (SACT) General André Lanata.

Dear soldiers, NCOs, officers and civilians of the Armed Forces!

The year 2019 is coming to an end and this gives us the opportunity to evaluate the successes achieved, consider the difficulties and problems, but also to set objectives and obligations for the coming year. Every day of this year, I have felt and experienced the high commitment, responsibility and professionalism that Armed Forces personnel have shown in fulfilling their constitutional duties and mission in serving the country.


Brigadier General Kollçaku meeting with the AF structures

The Chief of General Staff of the AAF, Brigadier General Bardhyl Kollçaku held a special meeting with the structures of the Armed Forces that were engaged and contributed to the relief of the earthquake that affected Albania on November 26th 2019.

The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Brigadier General Manushaqe Shehu, the Commanders of the Armed Forces and independent units in the AF, directors of the GS and about 300 effective, who participated in this important operation.


Brigadier General Kollçaku Attends the 94th Anniversary of foundation of the Naval Force

The Chief of General Staff of the AAF, Brigadier General Bardhyl Kollçaku attended today the ceremony of the 94th Anniversary of the Foundation of the Albanian Naval Force

The ceremony, which took place at the Naval Force Command premises, Durrës was attended by the Deputy Commander of the Navy, 1st Rank Captain Artur Meçollari, former personnel and veterans of the Navy, who served for years on the ship and on important bases, as well as relatives of former Navy Commander Qamil Poda. The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Albania, Brigadier General Bardhyl Kollçaku, in his greeting addressed to the seamen n stated that: “Today is the day to pay homage and honor to the work and deed of all generations that have served for many years in the Navy, commanders, seamen and all the military and civilian people who left their mark, their names and echoes in its history.”


2nd Contingent of Military Police deploys to NATO’s “Resolute Support Mission” in Herat, Afghanistan

Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Brigadier General Bardhyl Kollçaku participated in the deployment ceremony of the 2nd Contingent Military Police in the NATO’s “Resolute Support Mission”, who will serve in the Training -Counseling and Assistance Command in Herat, Afghanistan.

In his greetings to the troops of 2nd Contingent of the Military Police, Brigadier General Kollçaku, after thanking all those who were present at this special ceremony, said: “Let me express thanks to the Republic of Italy, which is our strategic partner, for the trust, support, cooperation and commitment of its Armed Forces to modernize the Armed Forces of the Republic of Albania. Along with the pre-deployment training, the Military Police with all its operational capacities has been and continues to support the civil emergencies, and now I have the opportunity to thank its staff for this. The Military Police contingent will be at the required Euro-Atlantic levels in support of peace in Afghanistan, demonstrating professionalism, correctness and value in carrying out this mission, guaranteeing to their families that the Ministry of Defense, General Staff and the Military Police Command will be in full support of the mission to ensure that these officers go and come back safe and sound.” - said Brigadier General Kollçaku.
