A meeting was held on creating a military unit of Cyber Security

In the premises of Ministry of Defense, a meeting was held to review the project of creating a military unit of Cyber Security for the AAF.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the US Army Department and United States European Command (EUCOM), from the Department of Entrepreneurship & Information Systems and the Information Technology Project Management Office for US Army Allies, Director of Communication Department, Colonel Florian Suli, Commander of the Agency for Communication and Information Systems , Colonel Hamdi Doda, as well as specialists in the field of information technology of AAF structures.


Bilateral meeting between Albania and France held at General Staff of the AAF

In the framework of bilateral military cooperation between Albania and France, a bilateral meeting with the French Armed Forces took place at the premises of the General Staff of the Armed Forces.

The purpose of this meeting was to discuss the fulfillment of the activities planned and implemented during 2019 and the activities proposed by the parties for 2020.

Captain 1st Rank Fabrice Cohéléach, Chief of the Bureau of Bilateral Cooperation, headed the French team, accompanied by the Military Attaché in our country, Colonel Fabrice Duda, while the Director of the Directorate of Defense Planning and Monitoring at the General Staff, Colonel Bilbil Bitri headed the Albanian team.


Land Force Training Center's new spaces are inaugurated

The Defense Minister Mrs. Olta Xhaçka accompanied by the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Brigadier General Bardhyl Kollçaku and the Land Force Commander, Brigadier General Albert Mullaj, attended the inauguration of the completion of works for the reconstruction of Land Force Training Center.

Officers and NCOs of Land Force will now be trained in the most comfortable and convenient conditions in the reconstructed spaces of the Land Force Training Center.  The center has also undergone changes in structure and curricula, adopting new NATO concepts.

NATO Land Force Commander (LANDCOM), Lieutenant General John Thomson resident in Izmir, Turkey, is paying an official visit to our country under the invitation of the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Brigadier General Bardhyl Kollçaku,

After being welcomed with honor guard, by the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Brigadier General Bardhyl Kollcaku, the LANDCOM Commander, accompanied by US Attaché, 2nd Rank Captain James Hilton, was received in a courtesy meeting by the Defense Deputy Minister Mr. Petro Koçi.

Later on, Lieutenant General Thomson, lectured as guest speaker on "NATO on its 70th Anniversary, the security environment today and future challenges." to the students of the Armed Forces Academy.


Brigadier General Kollçaku at the "Open Day" activity in Korça

Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Brigadier General Bardhyl Kollçaku, participated in the "Open Day", activity organized by the Armed Forces as part of recruitment campaign in the AAF under the motto "Youth-Talent-Opportunity-Dignity" in the city  Korça,

Brigadier General Kollçaku congratulated the structures, for the excellent organization of this activity: “I congratulate you on this perfect 'Open Day' organization here in Korça. We are here, in the framework of the celebrations that the AAF are organizing on the occasion of the 75th Anniversary of Liberation and of the 10th Anniversary of Albania's NATO Membership. The organization of these open days in the cities of Albania aims also at raising the youth awareness for the opportunities that Armed Forces offer in their education at home and abroad, in the most prestigious military schools and academies of Alliance countries. Especially the city of Korça has brought in officers with high moral and professional values and you young people of Korça should feel proud about it ... “, - said among others things Brigadier General Kollçaku.

There were also personalities of local government such as mayor of Korça, Mr. Dhori Spirollari, representatives of this prefecture etc. among many visitors who filled the city center square.


Brigadier General Bardhyl Kollçaku attended the 8th meeting of the DECI Initiative (Defense Cooperation Initiative)

The Chiefs of General Staff of Albania, Italy, Austria, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia and Montenegro met at the 8th meeting of the DECI (Defense Cooperation Initiative), held today in Podgorica, Montenegro.

The meeting was greeted by the Defense Minister of Montenegro, Mr. Predrag Bošković, who after welcoming the participants, emphasized the importance of this initiative in enhancing cooperation between countries in the field of Security and Defense.

The 8th DECI Meeting, chaired by the Chief of General Staff of the Italian Armed Forces General Enzo Vecciarelli, as the country leading the Initiative, together with the Chief of the General Staff of the Montenegrin Armed Forces, General Brigadier Dragutin Dakić, as the Head of the Host Country Delegation, continued the work with several presentations in order to inform the participants on the current achievements of this initiative and the expected future developments.
