Brigadier General Kollçaku at the "Open Day" in Berat

Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Brigadier General Bardhyl Kollçaku participated in the "Open Day", held by the Armed Forces in Berat, in the framework of commemorating the 75th Anniversary of Albania Liberation as well as the recruitment campaign in the Armed Forces under the motto "Youth-Talent-Opportunity-Dignity".

Brigadier General Kollçaku, accompanied by 12 district prefects of the country, visited the booths set up by the Personnel Recruitment Center and the 3rd Infantry Battalion, Poshnjë. They were closely acquainted with the opportunities the Armed Forces provide for the young generation as well as with the modern equipment and armament available to the AF.

During the meeting with the structures, Brigadier General Kollçaku, after congratulating them for the excellent organization of this activity in Berat, said among other things: “I congratulate you for the perfect organization of the “Open Day” in Berat. We are here as part of the celebrations that the Armed Forces are holding on the occasion of the 75th Anniversary of Homeland Liberation and the 10th Anniversary of Albania's Membership in NATO. The organization of the Open Days in different cities of Albania aims the patriotic education of the younger generation, youth awareness and professional orientation towards the opportunities provided by the Armed Forces in their education within the country and abroad, in the most prestigious military schools and academies.

The "Open Day" was of particular interest especially to the high school students of this city, who had the opportunity to be more informed on the daily tasks carried out by military troops, in the interest of fulfilling their mission.

Through the exhibition booths set up by the personnel of the 3rd Infantry Battalion, Poshnjë, in close cooperation with the Personnel Recruitment Center (QPR), visitors were introduced not only to the armaments and equipment, but they were also able to obtain further detailed information on how to join the Armed Forces of the Republic of Albania. 

At the conclusion of the event, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Brigadier General Bardhyl Kollçaku conducted an inspection at the 3rd Infantry Battalion, Poshnjë, in the Personnel Recruitment Section and in the Military Police Section, Berat, on the tasks, duties and commitments of these structures.
