Brigadier General Kollçaku pays an official visit to the Allied Joint Force Command in Naples, Italy

Upon the invitation of the Commander of the Allied Joint Force Command in Naples, Admiral James Foggo, the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Brigadier General Bardhyl Kollçaku paid a two-day official visit in Naples, Italy.

After the reception ceremony, Admiral Foggo and Brigadier General Kollçaku held a meeting during which they discussed security issues in the region and beyond, the role of the Allied Joint Force Command (JFC), Naples, and the role and contribution of the Albania Armed Forces in the interest of Security and Stability in the Balkans.

During the meeting, Admiral Foggo praised Albania's role as a reliable member of the Alliance for contributing to NATO operations and missions and what it is giving to KFOR, and particularly appreciated Albania's latest initiative to make a contribution on NATO missions in Iraq from A-5 countries.

For his part, Brigadier General Kollçaku, after thanking him for the invitation and the reserved reception, expressed his consideration for the important role that the Allied Joint Force Command in Naples has in the security and stability of the Balkan Region and the southern flank of the Alliance.

Afterwards, during the meeting, both interlocutors exchanged ideas and opinions on the current security situation, common challenges, and shared the same view on the cohesion and unity of Alliance members for facing challenges in the security environment.
