A meeting was held on creating a military unit of Cyber Security


In the premises of Ministry of Defense, a meeting was held to review the project of creating a military unit of cyber security for the AAF.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the US Army Department and United States European Command (EUCOM), from the Department of Entrepreneurship & Information Systems and the Information Technology Project Management Office for US Army Allies, Director of Communication Department, Colonel Florian Suli, Commander of the Agency for Communication and Information Systems , Colonel Hamdi Doda, as well as specialists in the field of information technology of AAF structures.

The Military Cyber Security Unit will be established in cooperation with our strategic partners as one of the priorities of the Defense Ministry and General Staff, as part of the modernization of defense capabilities and infrastructure in the Communications and Information Systems in the Armed Forces.

At the meeting of the North Atlantic Council (NAC) in Warsaw Summit of 2016, heads of States and Governments of this organization defined cyberspace as an operational area, where NATO should be secured the same in land, air and sea.

The Military Cyber Security Unit mission will be on managing cyber security systems, which will continuously monitor the computer networks of the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff of the Armed Forces from unauthorized interventions and to provide a stable infrastructure for static network  securing the confidentiality, integrity and secured availability of information both within the territory of the country and within NATO operations.
