Bilateral meeting between Albania and France held at General Staff of the AAF

In the framework of bilateral military cooperation between Albania and France, a bilateral meeting with the French Armed Forces took place at the premises of the General Staff of the Armed Forces.

The purpose of this meeting was to discuss the fulfillment of the activities planned and implemented during 2019 and the activities proposed by the parties for 2020.

Captain 1st Rank Fabrice Cohéléach, Chief of the Bureau of Bilateral Cooperation, headed the French team, accompanied by the Military Attaché in our country, Colonel Fabrice Duda, while the Director of the Directorate of Defense Planning and Monitoring at the General Staff, Colonel Bilbil Bitri headed the Albanian team.

Through a standard presentation of the AAF, the French team became acquainted with the main military developments in our country as well as the future challenges, mainly in the field of modernization and creation of national capacities as well as those declared in NATO.

The French team introduced the contributions to operations of the French Armed Forces as well as other commitments within the EU and the UN framework.

The meeting highlighted the importance of increasing cooperation in the future, focusing mainly on exercise and training activities, which will be part of the evaluation process by the structures, in order to include them in the cooperation plan for 2020.
