Brigadier General Ndriçim Sallaku

Commander of Support Command 

Brigadier General Ndriçim Sallaku was born on 14th July 1966, in Rade, Durrës. He graduated from the Military Academy “Skanderbeg”.  He was commissioned in 1991, as a logistics officer. He has assumed different staff and commanding positions at different levels such as:, Commander of NCO Academy “THOMSON” in Albanian Armed Forces, Chief of Logistic in Military Police, Battalion Commander of Transport Battalion. His joint assignments include the role as the Director of General Staff and Director of Logistic Directorate in Albanian Armed Forces.

BG Sallaku’s international experience includes assignments as Military Attache in the Republic of Turkey and non-resident in Azerbaijan, Military Observer in the UN Observers Mission in Georgia (UNOMIG) and also served in European Union mission ALTHEA in Bosnia-Hercegovina and Training Staff Officer at NATO LANDCOM Staff, in Izmir, Turkey.

His contribution consists of various important documents as part of Logistics Manual. He has also contributed as a part of the group who compiled The Concept of Logistic Support of Albanian Armed Forces.    

BG Sallaku has graduated War Academy of Land Forces in Turkey, National Defence Collage, in Turkey. He also earned his Master’s Degree (MSc) in war Collage in Turkey, in Security and Defence and Master’s Degree (MSc) in Material and Asset’s Management. Addition to this education BG Sallaku has been certified in many other courses in Albania and abroad.

BG Sallaku has been awarded several medals for his achievements throughout his military career.

He is married to Majlinda and has three children.
