History

Pursuant to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Albania, no. 1510, dated 13.11.2006 “On the approval of the organizational structure of the Armed Forces”, the Minister of Defence by order no. 98, dated 22.06.2007 “On the approval of the Table of Organization and Equipment of the Personnel Recruitment Centre”, approved PRC structure; June 22, 2007 marks the date of the establishment of this structure. After the creation, Personnel Recruitment Centre (PRC) as a result of the reorganization of the Armed Forces, since its establishment until today, has gone through several phases as:

-    From 2007 to 2010, it has been part of the Support Command.
-    In March 2010 and onwards, it is directly subordinated to the General Staff of the Armed Forces.

Pursuant to the order of the Minister of Defence no. 356, dated 18.05.2012, “On the transition to the new organizational structure of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Albania”, as well as to the order no. 436, dated 06.06.2012 “On the approval of the Table of Organization and Equipment of the Personnel Recruitment Centre”, in addition to its traditional mission, the recruitment of candidates for officers and professional soldiers, management of the documentation and data of active, in reserve and release military personnel, civilian employees, has the responsibility for supporting the Armed Forces with psychosocial services, promotion of rights in relation to gender equality and equal opportunities, as well as fulfil the documentation for the implementation of the financial treatment of military personnel in reserve or release.

PRC started its work, after its establishment at the premises of the Ministry of Defence and General Staff. In March 2008, he deployed (set) at the premises and Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC), where it currently carries out its mission.
