Navy Structure

Navy consists of Navy Command and Staff, Staff Support Company, Naval Shipyard, Maritime Surveillance Centre, Hydrographic Service, diving centre and the Naval Flotilla.


Maritime Surveillance Centre (MSC)

Mission: Provides continuous surveillance and monitoring of maritime space and lakes of the Republic of Albania.

Tasks:

-Commands, controls, operate and maintain the Maritime Surveillance System.

-Conducts active surveillance of maritime space and lakes of the Republic of Albania.

Address: Plepa, Durrës.


Hydrographic service

Mission: Provides, monitors and protects the technical safety of navigating beacons within maritime space of the Republic of Albania.

Tasks:

-Performs hydrographic surveys within the maritime space of the Republic of Albania.

-Maintains, repairs and keeps on alert all navigational equipment located along the coast and lakes of the Republic of Albania.

Diving Centre

Mission: Perform underwater diving operations and supports the certification of divers, at the national level.

Tasks:

-Commands, controls, trains, equips and provides military divers to support Armed Forces operations.

-Carries out and maintains the national training and certification programme for diver training.

-It is prepared to provide technical advice, experts about all aspects of diving within the territory of the Republic of Albania.

Naval Flotilla

Mission: Conducts patrols, monitors and protects the maritime space and lakes of the Republic of Albania. Support the national, regional, humanitarian and SAR operations.

Tasks:

- Patrols, monitors, controls and reports on sea traffic within the maritime space of the Republic of Albania.

- Monitors, reports and prevents illegal activities within the marine space of the Republic of Albania.

- Monitors, reports and prevents pollution of sea water and lakes within the maritime space of the Republic of Albania.
