Farewell Ceremony for the Attachés of the Republic of Italy and Romania

In the premises of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, this morning was held the Farewell Ceremony for the Military Attaché of the Republic of Italy, Colonel Fabio Cornacchia and the Military Attaché of the Republic of Romania, Colonel Florin Tutuianutu.

The ceremony was attended by the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Brigadier General Bardhyl Kollçaku, Directors of MM and of the General Staff, and the US Military Attaché in our country, Colonel James Hilton.

Chief of General Staff Brigadier General Bardhyl Kollçaku, accompanied by the Deputy Commander of the Air Force, Colonel Editson Zarka inspected the construction site for the implementation and construction of the Integrated Air Surveillance System.




Students of the 44th NCO Basic Course graduated today

The course was conducted at the NCOs Academy with a staff of 60 trainees, four of whom were female, and aimed to prepare trainees by developing the basic elements of the corporal personality as a leader in the role of team commander and tasks aligned with it, education and responsibility for combat duty and readiness, in compliance with orders and strengthening personal discipline.

Its curriculum during the 8 weeks was focused on the training of the non-commissioned officer in the realization of the requirements of the organic function of the corporal within the organizational structure of the Armed Forces.


Albanian health personnel decorated with a medal in Kabul, Afghanistan

After completing the 6 month mission at the Roll 2 Military Hospital at the military base of HKIA (Hamid Karzai International Airport) in Kabul, Afghanistan, the Albanian health personnel was awarded.

The awarded military officer is Lieutenant Eno Shyti, personnel of the Military Hospital and lieutenant Viktor Skuqi, personnel of Command Battalion of Land Force. The award was given by the commander of the HKIA base, Brigadier General Ahmet Ilbaz.



COVID-19, AF continue with the humanitarian operation

AAF have continued with the humanitarian operation distributing food aid throughout the last week, for the families in need and those affected by the earthquake.

Along the week, the engagement of the AAF has been intensified, as many of them have been extending the humanitarian operation almost into all regions of the country and mostly in the regions of southern Albania, starting from the Durrës, Gjirokastra, Korça, Berat, Fier and Vlora.


COVID - 19, AF proceeds with the humanitarian operation

The structures of the Armed Forces continue the humanitarian operations and food packages distribution to the families in need in order to cope with the situation created by COVID - 19.

Throughout the last week, the humanitarian operation for the distribution of food aid has continued respectively in the Region of Kukes, Has, Tropoja, Dibra region, in the Municipalities of Dibra, Mat, Klos, Bulqizė, and Bishop, in Elbasan district, in Librazhd Municipalities, Gramsh, Peqin, Përrenjas, Cërrik, Belsh as well as in all Municipalities of Tirana.

The distribution of food aid prepared in the State Reserves was closely followed by the Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, Brigadier General Manushaqe Shehu, accompanied by the Commander of the Support Command, Brigadier General Ndriçim Sallaku, Commander of the Land Force, Brigadier General Albert Mullai, General Director of the Civil Defense National Agency, Mr. Haki Cako, as well as senior local government representatives.
